Madhwa Yuva Parishat Merger updates...

Hari Sarvotthama Vayu Jeevotthama
Sri Krishnaya Nama:

Namaskara to all Madhwa Bandhus,

As you all know, our Madhwa Yuva Parishat, a consolidated group of all the Madhwa eGroups across multiple cities in India and beyond is now more than 6 months old and are a tremendous success in terms of membership, patronage, recognition, milestones etc.

One of the vision when we formed MYP was also to make it a single point of contact, reference, GOTO portal for all our Madhwa Bandhus and avoid duplication of efforts in all that we do in the seva of Sri Hari. It was decided collectively by the core team members, who are from all walks of life, and also representing most of our other Madhwa eGroups to merge all the other groups into MYP.

Some of the groups in the lead and their key representatives are:

ITPL_Madhwa Forum - Sri Gopala Krishna Varna
Dhyana Sandhya - Sri Gururaja Upendra / Sri Gururaja Sedambi
Gopichandana - Sri Gururaja Sedambi
Vedanta Deepika - Kum Sudha Vittal
Tamilnadu Madhwa Yuva Parishat - Mohan V / Jay Lakshmanan / Venky M

MYP is also supported by IT Madhva Sangha (ITMS), Hyderabad on all our endeavours and we have some plans of joint projects, while ITMS would retain its identity.

MYP is also working closely with ABMMM on some of the issues and we plan to have a continued relationship going forward. The collaboration and synergy that we all witnessed during the recent crisis is a good start.

In due course of time, we are sure all the other small and budding groups would join the main stream and uphold the magnificient Madhwa Siddhanta under one umbrella.

We would like to request all our Madhwa Bandhus to switch over to MYP with immediate effect, as the above groups would be put on the back burner in due course of time, not later than Nov 30th, 2007.

Incase you have any queries, concerns, clarifications, please approach me directly or any of our group moderators.
To join MYP, just send an email to:MadhwaYuvaParishat-subscribe@yahoogroups.com

Sri Vijaya Daasara Aradhane collections/memberships

Namaskara,

Sri Vijaya Daasara Aradhane mahotsava would be on Nov 20th (Tuesday) this year. As you all know, Aradhane> is celebrated in a grand manner at Chippigiri with Tirtha Prasada arrangements for thousands of devotees.

Sri Jagannatha Daasaru ( the head of Aradhane committee) has expressed his concerns on the collections for the Aradhane in terms of lack of a co-ordinated system, especially in Bangalore. So we thought of streamlining the collection activity by adopting the following procedure
a) Create Sri Vijaya Daasara Aradhane members with a minimum contribution of Rs 500 every year
b) Each donor, would be given a receipt
c) A master list of Aradhane members would be maintained with their residential address, phone numbers etc
d) Every Aradhane member would get prasada from Chippigiri through post to their residential address
e) Every Donor would be contacted in advance every year to collect the Aradhane funds. This way , a minimum/fixed amount could be expected for the Aradhane from Bangalore. Sri Jagannatha Daasaru would come personally to every area for the collections.

So , If you wish to become a member, please send in your consent, residential address, telephone number by a reply email.

Vijaya Dasami - Shri Madhva Jayanthi - Shri Dhanvathari Nidhi

Hare Srinivasa,namaskAra

Navarathri Greetings to all madhva bandhus.Navarathri is an auspicious season to worship Lord Srinivasa, LordVedavyasa, Goddess Durga, and Shri Acharya Madhva.

Tomorrow(Saturday 20th October) is mahanavami- Ayudha Pooja, worshipping Goddess Durga in all the instruments & machinery.Sunday(21st October) is Viajadasami- one of the "siddha Muhurtha" day,the best & most auspicious day for anyone, starting any new ventures, satkarya, dana or any other activities for Sadhana. It is also thebirth day of our revered Acharya - Jagadguru Shri Madhaananda TheerthaBhagavathpadaru. Let us all try to celebrate these days in moremeaningful way, by various satkaryas, as much as possible.

As a token of our seva to Shri Acharya, on this auspicious day, wewould like to launch "Shri Dhanvanthari Nidhi"- A nidhi dedicated forproviding financial assistance to the students of vidyapeeta (learningmadhva shastra in any Vidyapeeta / gurukula in any part of the country)in case of any medical emergency to them or to their parents.

As you know most of the students in the Vidyapeeta are not in a goodposition financially, and any major medical treatment would be reallyan 'impossible' case for them. These students are dedicating their lifefor upholding Shri Acharya's teachings and is it not our duty to helpthem a little during their bad time??. For instanced, few months backthere was request to help a student for his mother's cancer operation.By Lord's grace, madhva bhandus from all corners generously contributedto help that student. But is it possible everytime? Can we not think ofsome better way to manage such crises.???.... Some of our volunteersthought of creating a permanent solution for such emergencies insteadof “fire fighting" in the last moment and came up with the plan ofestablishing "Shri Dhanvanthari Nidhi.”

A team of trustees & volunteers would manage the Nidhi. Shri HaridasaBhat, Principal, Poornaprajna Vidyapeeta would be leading the team andtake care of the Nidhi management. The team would like to establish acorpus fund of Rs 5.00 Lakh to take care of medical emergencies ofstudents and their dependents. With the generous contribution andstrong support from all of you, we would like to extend the same to thedeserving pandits, Achars and archakas in the coming days.

By Lord's grace, most of us are in a better position and can afford tospare few rupees to help those students in the Vidyapeeta who aretorchbearers of Shri Acharya's teachings. I would like to request allof you to volunteer for contributing to this Nidhi on the auspiciousday of Shri Madhva Jayanthi. A monthly contribution of Rs 10 / 25 / 50from each one would really a big help to us and we can realise ourdream in no time. You are also most welcome for one time lump sumdonation, in the name of your nearer / dearer.

We will provide further details about bank account etc shortly. Irequest all of you to pledge for monthly contribution, whatever thelittle may be. As "each drop together makes Ocean", a heartfeltcontribution from each one of us would go a long way in providing helpto vidyapeeta students.

On this occasion of Shri VyasaPooja, Shri Srinivasa Kalyana, DurgaPooja, Shamee Pooja, Shri Madhva Jayanthi, let us all pray LordVedavyasa, Goddess Durga, Shri Acharya to bless us with more strength (thanu, mana, dhana) to get involved more and more in satkaryas and helpour madhva bhandus, and thus worship Lord.

Your valuable suggestions are most welcome. Please reply back to participate in the "Shri Dhanvanthari Nidhi"
namaskAra
B.Gopalakrishna Varna

PS: Probably some of you may see this email after Vijaya Dasami, butstill is not late. Monday is Ekadashi, Tuesday is Dwadashi- beginningof Dvidala vratha, the last vratha of the Chaturmasa - most auspiciousdays for any satkarya, and you are most welcome to pledge yourcontribution.

An Appeal From JayaSatyaPramodaNidhi- Sri UttaradiMath

Jaya Satya Pramoda Nidhi - Introduction

Jaya Satya Pramoda Nidhi is great visionary initiative started by His Holiness Shri 1008 Satyapramoda Tirtha Swamiji's in 1984. Through this benevolent fund he gave grants to deserving poor Brahmin students in order to enable them to pursue their educational goals. Since 1984, until now, every year, more than hundred students have received financial assistance through this Fund by the blessings of Shri 1008 Satyatma Tirtha Swamiji.
We do not claim that we have fully helped the student to complete his eductaion. But we do have the satisfaction that at least a few have been benefited through this institution and embarked on a better life. However today, there is great challenge to get good education with rising educational fees and managing oneself. But this is possible thru loans or external help. Poor Brahmin students even cant get loans. All these students depend on an outsider for financial help. Its fine, if they get it. Else one Brahmin looses chance to get educated well and it affects the whole Brahmin community. So in view of this, we are requesting you to help grow this initiative, so that it can support as many deserving Brahmins as possible to get educated properly. Few of the facts, figures and last year report in brief is given below.

1) The scholarship for 2006-07 students at Uttaradi matha. H H Sri Satyaatmateertha Swamiji has distributed Rs.90,000 to 28 needy Madhwa students who are pursuing in Engineering & Medical courses. 2) The scholarship for 2007-08 is given to more than 75 students nearing the amount of Rs.3 lakhs.
3) This year we need to distribute scholarship for last year students also
4) From the next academic year we need to provide scholarship to 1st PUC, 2nd PUC and renewal students. .
5) As all of you know that fund distributed is from the fund collected from haribhaktas. Once again its a sincere request to donate genrously towards "Jaya Satya Pramoda Nidhi" a non-profit trust. A tax exemption under 80G is applicable to your donations.

Humiliating Article on Sri Madhwacharya !

Namaste all,

Just wanted to make sure all the Madhwa Bandhus out there, are aware of whats happening in this world about our own Siddhanta.

We have initiated certain activities, most of which are in the planning stage.
Yesterday during the Nitya Karma Workshop, organised by Madhwa Yuva Parishat,
there was a unanimous decission to support the action of condemning the press, the editor and his article and offer all the support to activities of taking further action. We also started a signature campaign, which would help the cause.

We also have to keep in mind the reputation of all our sacred Mutts and the PeetadhipathigaLu and weigh each of our steps and actions.

Thanks to Srinivas Prasad for creating an awareness and taking the lead in contacting the right people to address this issue.

The latest news is that, there is already a complaint lodged at Vijayanagar Police Station by the trustees of Sri Rayara Mutt, Amarjyoti Nagar. We will update you all on the actions as and when they flow into us.

Regards
Harish

Atmiya Haribhaktare,

Please find attached an humiliating article which is published in Bangalore News paper daily 'POLICE NEWS' on 2nd Sept' 07.
We understand this article is written by Mr.Rahul whose father is the founder of this news paper.

Yesterday during the 'Nitya karmanushtana' seminar at Vidyapeetha we raised this issue and submitted the copy of this article to Sri Anand Thirtha Nagasampigeacharya.
We also conducted signature campaign of the attendees to take unified legal action on this press and the editor. We have submitted copy of the article and signatures yesterday evening to Sri Sathyadhyana Katti Acharya of Uttaradimath. Signatures are also attached in zip folder.

Some of the Madhwas suggested to ignore this article. We are aware that there were lot of articles written in the past which were not responded by Madhwa community.
DO WE ALLOW ANY OUTSIDER ON THE STREET TO HUMILIATE OR INSULT OUR ANCESTORS ??
Then why should we keep quiet when our Jagad Guru Sri Madhwacharya is being insulted?

We the members of every Madhwa Sangha in every city, Members and Leaders of above Yahoo groups must stand united at this time for brain storming to initiate legal proceedings (under the leadership of Matt or the registered Madhwa unified group). By legal route we not only teach a lesson to this publisher but will also caution other editors who dare to write anything on Madhwa philosophy. We the youth should take this responsibility now.

If there are any advocates in any of the above groups please come forward to guide us in this regard.

In view of above, we request all the above Madhwa group leaders and members to assemble either at Poorna Pragna Vidyapeetha or Jayathirtha Vidyapeetha on Sunday evening. Location and time will be confirmed on Friday after discussing with the respective Matts.

Hare Srinivasa,

Srinivas Prasad

Nitya Karma Workshop - Update

Namaste all,

One more program behind us now, SUCCESFULLY.
We are just done with our Nitya Karma Workshop-1 for men.

The Workshop was greatly appreciated by Sri Vidya Prasanna Theertha Swamiji of Sri Kukke Subramanya Mutt, who inaugurated the workshop, blessed us with his ashirvachana and sudarshana with mantrakshate. He was enthralled to see the commitment from Madhwa Bandhus both from participants and the organisers to learn, uphold and nurture the Madhwa Siddhantha & rituals.

Sri Ananda Teerthachar Nagasampige, leader of this workshop had all praises for the participants on their interest & jijnaase and dedication from the organisers' side.
He has offered himself for the subsequent workshops to be conducted on the related topics and would be available always, forever for clarifying any of the queries.
He was so gracious and overwhelmingly supportive of MYP's cause and objectives that he has offered his sambhavane and dakshine as his contribution to MYP's jnana karyas.
Our sincere gratitudes to Sri Achar for his gesture and immense regards for making this event a grand success.

We thank each one of the participants, who took all the trouble of coming and spending the whole day with us in learning the basics of our siddhantha / acharane and have supported the cause & objectives with your huge contributions. We sincerely hope, the workshop was successful in meeting your expectations and needs. We would do a thorough analysis of the feedback rendered and will take appropriate actions on the areas of attention.

We look forward to you all for our next event... Nitya Karma Workshop for Ladies, the date of which is yet to be decided. We request you to nominate your spouse, mother, sister, relatives and other madhwa bandhus with the mindset of learning the necessary & essential nitya karmas, observed by ladies (married & unmarried) on a daily basis.

Congratulations to the entire core team on the successful execution of this project.
This NKW was a big achievement in the sense that it was the biggest gathering to chave witnessed so many Madhwa Bandhus under one roof. This clearly shows the strength in unity and proves the concept of being together and achieving collectively.

Please join us TODAY, to make a difference in the way we are perceived today by the bigger mass and achieve our shared vision and common goals.

Regards
Harish
